Antique Museum Oil by Claude Monet

We see a natural landscape and water: It shows the edge of a pond surrounded by dense vegetation and leafy trees. The water occupies a large part of the central plane and acts as a mirror. Study of reflections: The composition captures in detail how sunlight passes through the branches of the trees and is reflected vibrantly and fragmented on the undulating surface of the water. This painting is thought to be an authentic work by the artist. It came from a Scottsdale, Arizona estate.
